The EPWD is a research network dedicated to advancing women-led development in India. As the world’s fastest-growing major economy, India’s path to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision depends on enabling its women. EPWD aims to build awareness of women’s workforce participation as a central driver of economic and structural transformation. We seek to move the narrative beyond simply increasing participation rates, towards strengthening women’s productive engagement across sectors, states, and regions.
