Dr. Cledwyn Fernandez

Consultant

Dr. Cledwyn Fernandez as a Consultant in Growth, Employment and Macroeconomics (GEM) Team. Cledwyn holds a doctorate degree in Economics from XLRI Jamshedpur, a Gold Medalist (Masters Degree) in applied economics. He has also won the Case Centre Scholarship (The Case Centre, UK) for ideating and writing a case study on social entrepreneurship in India. In addition, he has published research articles in national and international journals. He has worked with the State Government of Jharkhand and was instrumental in preparing a report on the Evaluation of States Finances for Jharkhand for the 15th Finance Commission. Prior to joining ICRIER, Cledwyn was an Assistant Professor of Economics at TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal. His research interests are development economics, public policy, state infrastructure, public sector innovation, and applied microeconomics.
